More than an anagram solver

WordFinderLetters.com turns any jumble of letters into real, playable words. Type the tiles from your Scrabble rack, the letters from a Words With Friends game, or the answer pattern from a crossword — the letter word finder checks a dictionary of more than 168,000 words and shows everything you can make, from quick two-letter plays to fifteen-letter showpieces.

Because every search can be filtered, it doubles as a pattern solver. Need words beginning with QU, words ending in ING, or words containing a double letter? Set the filters and the list narrows instantly. Looking for words of a specific length — five letters for Wordle, seven for a Scrabble bingo? Pick a length and every result fits.

Whether you call it a word finder, an unscrambler or an anagram solver, the goal is the same: spend less time staring at tiles and more time playing the winning word.

Find Words From Letters

To find words from letters, simply type them into the box above. The tool treats each letter as a tile and works out every dictionary word you can build from them. Add ? or * for blank tiles that can stand for any letter — up to two per search — so you can explore every possible play even when your rack is short a vowel.

Words With Letters

Wondering what words with letters like Q, X or Z you can make? Enter them alongside your other tiles and the finder surfaces every valid word, each tagged with its base Scrabble score so you can compare plays at a glance. Use the Contains filter to insist that a specific letter appears somewhere inside the result.

Scrabble Word Finder

Built as a Scrabble word finder, the tool shows the base tile value next to every result and supports blank tiles just like the game. Hunting for a seven-letter bingo? Enter all seven tiles, keep the length set to 7, and every bingo hiding in your rack appears. The same dictionary covers the vast majority of Words With Friends words too.

Anagram Solver

Need an anagram solver? Enter your letters exactly as they are and set the word length to match the number of letters — every result is a perfect anagram. Leave the length open and the finder also reveals the shorter words hiding inside the same letters, which is ideal for anagram puzzles and word jumbles.

Find Words With Letters in Certain Positions

When you already know where some letters sit — a crossword grid, a Wordle pattern, or tiles on the board — use the Word pattern / known letters field. Type the letters you know in their exact positions and use ? for the unknowns: C??T finds four-letter words starting with C and ending in T, while ?A?E fixes the second letter as A and the fourth as E. Combine the pattern with your available letters to find words that fit the pattern and can be made from your tiles — perfect for Scrabble-style searches.

Frequently asked questions

What is a word finder from letters?

A word finder takes any set of letters you type in and lists every valid dictionary word you can make from them. It works as an anagram solver, a Scrabble word finder and a crossword helper all in one — enter your tiles, apply filters, and play the best word.

How do blank tiles (wildcards) work?

Type ? or * anywhere in your letters to add a blank tile. Each blank can stand for any letter of the alphabet, just like a blank tile in Scrabble. You can use up to two blanks per search.

Is this also an anagram solver?

Yes. Enter your letters exactly as they are and set the word length to match the number of letters — every result is a perfect anagram. Leave the length open to also find shorter words hiding inside the same letters.

Can I find words that start with, end with or contain certain letters?

Yes — the Starts With, Ends With and Contains filters do exactly that. Combine them with a word length to match crossword patterns such as "8 letters, starts with T, ends in ING".

Which games can I use this word finder for?

Scrabble, Words With Friends, Wordle, crosswords, anagram puzzles, spelling bees and any other word game where you need words from a set of letters. The score shown next to each word is its base Scrabble value.

Is WordFinderLetters.com free?

Completely free, with no sign-up and no limits. Search as many letter combinations as you like, as often as you like.
